We spent most of this day hiking through Bryce Canyon. We combined a few loop trails (Wall Street, Queen’s Garden, and Peekaboo) to do a six-mile figure eight hike.
It wound through Bryce’s famous spires. The elevation change is definitely difficult, with the hardest part of the hike being the end when you have to hike back up the side of the canyon.
When we went, the ground was muddy and slick from melting snow, so it was important to be careful where we stepped. We saw a handful of falls. Despite it being one of the most challenging hikes of the trip, the loop was one of the prettiest ones we went on. It offers a great view of the park. The trail we chose misses the Wall Street side of the loop, so if that’s on your list of places to see, plan accordingly. It was still closed for us when we went (still too much snow), so it didn’t matter much to us. We took the Two Bridges section instead.
We were all tired afterward, so we loaded back into the car and stopped by the visitor’s center to get some Junior Ranger badges before we hit the road to get to our next stop.
