After Bryce, we spent the night in Orderville, but didn’t want to waste daylight. We did a portion of the Belly of the Dragon hike. After reading other reviews, we decided to just do the portion of the hike that goes through the tunnel and then turned around. It was fun with the hardest part being the descent of the cement abutments that dropped from the parking lot to the tunnel itself.
After grabbing some dinner, we did a short hike on the Canyon Overlook trail to catch the sunset.
This trail was rather busy, and we ended up having to park a ways away from the trailhead on the side of the road. It wasn’t the prettiest sunset, but the views of Zion National Park were incredible. This hike goes along some very steep cliffs, so be aware if you are bringing young kids with you.
